The section on Haruhi in this magazine had some fun tid-bits, so I thought I'd post them.
This is cute. Members of the SOS Brigade offer their personal opinions of Haruhi. Plus Yuki gets interviewed XD.
Info on Haruhi. We know most of it, but there are some funny things hidden in these "x-files." My personal fave: "Nothing says, 'I'm determined to make the world a better place!' like grabbing Kyon's tie."
Interview with Ishihara, director of the anime...plus a BIG Haruhi...
The pink article "Trashy and Classy" talks about the making of the first ep. The bigger article is about how Ishihara adapted the novels to the anime.
Presenting the BIG Haruhi centerfold!

It's heartening to hear the director not wanting any fillers (thank God!), but they could of put in Endless Eight, Snow Mountain, Bamboo Leaf, and Disappearance for a full season (assuming that the novels were only out until Rampage). Wanting a second season, that's what their real goal was, I suspect...

Thanks so much for sharing! I also adore that line about Kyon's tie. It's like a convenient leash, isn't it? :P

Aw! Yuki interview! I especially love the article in the pink box talking about the animation technique they used for the concert scene. It really is a shame it's not used more in animation today, because the results look spectacular.
>>16983why are you so dumb?
>>16983 reminds me of those youtube fangirls sending those chainletters about stopping youtube from deleting anime, but don't even know shit about copyright laws.
Thanx for scanning! It makes me wanna pick that issue up now. Yes, I am that big of a fan...

As a fan of series who've had their quality diluted by poorly-written fillers, I shudder to think how that would have turned out.>>17019Also agreed. But I also understand that it is time-consuming, and I think that may be part of the reason the series was only 14 episodes. But quality over quantity, right?
